The Marple Newtown High School Tiger Marching Band earned first place in the Liberty Division at the Cavalcade of Bands Competition held recently at West Chester East High School. The Tiger Band earned a score of 80.7 out of 100 performing their 2012 field show “The Grid”. Music by Frank Sullivan and Drill by Todd Marcocci. The Tiger Band is under the direction of Michael S. Massimo. Next the Tiger Band will travel to OJ Roberts High School to perform in their Cavalcade show. On Saturday, October 13 at 6:00 pm, the Tiger Band will host nine Bands here at Marple Newtown High School for their 43rd annual BANDARAMA. Tickets are $10 for Adults, $7 for Students/Senior Citizens. A discount will be given to Adults living within a 3 mile radius to MNHS at the student price. Refreshments will be available. Come out for an evening of great family entertainment and support your high school musicians!
