On Sunday, November 11, 2012 The Chichester High School Marching Band proved they are a force to be reckoned with. Presenting a strong, vibrant and entertaining show, Chichester soared with such outstanding music and high energy you could not help but bop along. Chichester Marching Band placed 2nd to Bermudian Springs by 1.5 points in the Independence A division. However placing second was sweetened by the outcome of not only surpassing their own personal high score of 80.95 to bring in a 85.45! Included along with the score Chichester Marching Band received three special Awards. High Auxiliary, High Effect & High Visual.
Chichester Marching Bands show this year included four Journey songs, Anyway you want it, Open Arms, Separate ways & Don’t stop believing. Among the four selections were soloist Tyler Wooters on Trumpet, Brianna Cronin on Trombone, Ed Stencler on Trumpet. Guard soloist; Alexis Rodriguez, Jenni Lee, Kayla Houser, Lynda Houser, Rhiannon Charney and a Percussion Feature.
Chichester Marching Band is under the direction of Mr. Ted Chaney-Miadzinian as well as Assistant Director Mr. Daniel Brown, Horn line instructors Mr. Tony June and Mr. Mike Howell. Percussion Head Mr. John Conover. Guard Instructors Mrs. Krystin Brown and Ms. Norene Gipe.
